Rooms for Hire


Maleny Neighbourhood Centre has ten different spaces (inside the building or in the grounds) that can be used for a variety of meeting formats from business and corporate use to creative celebrations. Spaces can be used within Centre opening hours or after hours anytime.

Those hiring space or rooms at MNC must be financial members. Membership rates are individual concession $6 pa, individual part time waged $15 pa, individual full time waged $30 pa, Not For Profit Organisations $50 pa and Businesses $100 pa. Not For Profit Organisation Members and Business Members receive a one-off, free room hire up to the value of their annual membership. All members will be emailed Room Hire Conditions, Room Hire Rates and MNC Policies when joining or renewing.

 MNC offers:

  • Bathroom facilities in each area

  • “Hot Desks” in a quiet room with or without desktop computers (Windows or MAC)

  • Tea and coffee making facilities throughout
  • Soundproof rooms
  • Flat screen display with DVD player in Meeting Room # 2
  • Whiteboards and projector screens
  • Air-conditioned rooms for really hot or cold days (we DO encourage minimising power usage)
  • Ceiling fans throughout
  • MNC also offers EQUIPMENT for hire on or off site

  • Marquees (two)
  • Powered speakers (two) JBL Hi-Fi and an 8 channel mixer with microphones
  • Mower (two stroke)
  • Whipper Snipper (two stroke)


For a large meeting or workshop, this spacious area can be hired in its entirety where it seats 50 without tables. This space can be converted into two soundproof rooms seating 20 people in each; Conference Room 1 - the Northern end and Conference Room 2 - the Southern end. The Conference Rooms include seating and tables that may be configured to suit your needs. The space has glass sliding doors looking out to shady, furnished verandahs on the east and west, ideal for breaks. The kitchen is adjacent to Conference Room 2 and the Eastern verandah. Conference Room 1 has a white board and large screen suitable for visual presentations.


Meeting Room 2

Meeting Room 2 is our board room. It can take eight people comfortably with room for one or two observers. The board room has a 1300mm Sharp flat screen TV with HDMI access for laptops / Skyping, a DVD player and separate Samsung treble and bass speakers. . The board room has a white board and a kitchenette with sink, mugs and an electric jug

A private room that seats 4 people, ideal for counselling or as a quiet space for getting work done.



The ‘big kitchen’ opens via a stainless steel serving bench onto the Eastern verandah. Community lunches are held here every Thursday, attended by up to 60 people seated on the verandah the space is available to all users.



Outside the Conference Rooms space. Room hirers are welcome to take a break on our verandahs, or you can book exclusive use as part of your room booking.

Only available on weekends or after 3pm on week days. 

Courtyard West

 Underneath the verandah, this area is on the car park side of MNC and has a large outdoor table with eight seats. The Western Courtyard is ideal for informal meetings.


Yarning Circle

 Designed by Bev Hand and Pam White, MNC’s Indigenous Yarning Circle is located in a beautiful outdoor area adjacent to natural creek area. The tall native trees and bushes are home to lots of local birds and animals.
