Housing and Homelessness Roadshow

POSTPONED – MNC Housing & Homelessness Roadshow.
After careful consideration by the Roadshow organisers, service providers, and involved community/neighbourhood centres, we’ve had to POSTPONE the Maleny Neighbourhood Centre Roadshow (TH 12th Aug).
Understandably, current COVID Safe restrictions, community safety, and service provider COVID-safe policies all attributed to this decision.

If you’re interested in the housing situation, or experiencing housing crisis, homelessness or at risk of homelessness, this is an ideal opportunity to speak with various housing support services, such as:
Kyabra-KEIHS Program, Carers QLD, Coast2Bay Housing Group, Services Australia, ABS, Rent Connect, Act for Kids, Qstars, Josie Coco – Counsellor/Life Coach, and Speak Up Now Stop Domestic Violence.
Plus, meet local housing groups Polkadot Community Inc (with Tiny House on display), Smart Living Society, Glass Housing 55’s – Better Together, Maleny Eco Village, Maleny Community House (formerly Men’s House), and Maleny Women’s House.
Other activities: Aunty Beverly Hand will open with an Acknowledgement to Country. Jimmy Hirst and his team will have a Tiny Home on display, and social action theatre troupe Rehearsal for Real Life will entertain and educate us with participative theatre.
We’d love you to join us for a BBQ lunch at 12.30pm (optional donation). You may also like to bring items to the Fix It Café, where the team can fix tools, sharpen knives, repair your bike, and make sewing alterations the same day.
