The Maleny Neighbourhood Centre (MNC) is a community hub that offers affordable room hire for events, meetings, and workshops. The Centre is conveniently located in the heart of Maleny, just a short walk from the town’s main street and offers ample parking. A range of spaces are available suitable for various events, from small gatherings to large workshops. The centre’s facilities include:
Conference Room: A spacious, air-conditioned room with a capacity of up to 50 people theatre style and 25 people classroom style. The Conference Room is perfect for large events such as workshops and seminars. The room features a flat screen TV with HDMI access, DVD player and whiteboard. The room can be configured to suit your needs. Sliding glass doors open onto a furnished veranda, ideal for breaks.
There is a commercial kitchen adjacent to room (additional charge apply)
Commercial Kitchen: The fully equipped licenced commercial kitchen features stainless steel benches, gas cooktop, a large oven, commercial refrigeration and a dish steriliser. The kitchen opens up to the veranda via a large bench suitable for serving. The kitchen is an ideal space for cooking classes, food demonstrations, and catering events.
Eastern Office: A private room which features a desk, couch and chair. The room is ideal for counselling or a work space. The room is equipped with a kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities.
Meeting Room 2: This boardroom style meeting room seats eight people. The room is ideal for business and small group meetings. The room is equipped with a flat screen TV with HDMI access, whiteboard and a kitchenette with tea and coffee making facilities.
Yarning Circle: Designed by Aunty Bev Hand and Aunty Pam White the Yarning Circle is a place of storytelling and cultural preservation, yarning circles hold a profound significance. Overlooking the creek, surrounded by native trees and bushes, it is an ideal space to come together to share stories, songs, and experiences.
Veranda East: Outside the Conference Rooms space. Room hirers are welcome to take a break on our verandas overlooking trees, or you can book exclusive use as part of your room booking.
Western Courtyard: This area is well covered and located on the car park side of MNC. It has a large outdoor table with eight seats. The Western Courtyard is ideal for informal meetings.
